Credentials You Can Earn

The NGTC photography program has a well-deserved reputation for excellence.  In the last five year’s students have won bronze, silver and gold in the Skills USA competition, and not just in the state but in the nation.  Our program motto states, ‘practical skills for real world jobs’, and our diploma and associate degree programs do just that, prepare you for work and teach everything you need to make it in the real world.

Courses cover the fundamentals of photography and students gain experience in a wide range of photographic specialties including portraiture, lifestyle, commercial, nature, multimedia and photojournalism.

In addition, students learn essential Photoshop skills, produce a professional portfolio, complete a business plan and have an introduction to design and marketing.

Our facilities are second to none with over 6,000 sq. ft. of studio space, computer lab, print room, amphitheater and classrooms.  We are equipped with a full range of studio lighting and support both Nikon and Canon based camera systems with additional lenses available to loan.

Overall costs, including all books and equipment, are substantially less than almost any other photography program and most students are eligible for the Hope Scholarship or the Hope Grant.  You can be sure to leave with a qualification designed to further your career and not a difficult student loan.
