The North Georgia Technical College Foundation recently received a check for $2,000 from American Woodmark in Toccoa, Ga. to be used to provide scholarships for students who have a demonstrated financial need in completing their program of study at North Georgia Technical College.
“The NGTC Foundation is grateful to American Woodmark for its generous donation of $2,000 to our scholarship fund. This company has been a valued partner for NGTC for many years: funding equipment for the Industrial Systems Technology (IST) Program, providing scholarships for IST students with documented financial need, serving on advisory boards and hiring NGTC graduates.”, stated Cynthia Brown, Institutional Advancement Director at the College.
American Woodmark Corporation is a major manufacturer of quality kitchen and bath cabinets for the home. Their products are sold through a nationwide network of homebuilders, independent dealers and distributors, as well as major home improvement stores.
The NGTC Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose board consists of volunteer community leaders from NGTC’s eight-county service area. The mission of the Foundation is to create awareness of the financial needs of the College and encourage donations of resources which are managed wisely to assure quality education for its students.
