Welding instructor Dusty Bolman shows campers around the welding lab.
North Georgia Technical College LEGO campers recently participated in a week of building engineering skills and creativity centered around LEGO bricks. The camp was open to kids ages 6-12.
Campers also had the opportunity to tour various programs on the Clarkesville Campus including welding, emergency medical systems and CNC machine tools. Welding Instructor Dusty Bolman spoke to the group about the importance of welding in our community, and NGTC students gave a demonstration on cutting metal with a plasma torch. EMS students demonstrated CPR and gave campers a chance to practice hands-on CPR training. They also toured the NGTC ambulance and learned about patient safety. After a tour of the new CNC lab, campers watched as NGTC students demonstrated their skills by creating spinning tops for the campers to take home as souvenirs.
