What: The Clarkesville campus HEROES student organization will have a meeting!
Date: Tuesday, February 15, 2022
Time: 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Come even if you cannot arrive exactly at 11:30 AM or have to leave early.)
Location: Dining Hall Annex (right off the Dining Hall)
Food: Lunch is provided FREE
Laura Ferguson, Psychology instructor, will be providing tools for Stress Management. Emily Sullens will also be there to talk about the resources the Career Center has to offer students.
What is HEROES?
HEROES (Having Equity, Resources & Opportunities Equals Success) is a student organization open to students who are enrolled full-time or part-time at North Georgia Technical College and identify with one or more of these experiences.
We are students who
- Represent the minority gender in our career path
- Are single parents or a single pregnant woman
- Are out-of-workforce individuals
- Are English learners. We may speak English fluently, but it’s not our first language
- Have a learning or physical disability
- Receive a Pell Grant
- Are in foster care or have aged out of foster care
- Have a parent in the armed forces on active duty
