  1. What is your title? English Instructor
  2. What campus are you based on and in what building is your office located? Clarkesville, Hoyt Coe, 127
  3. What are your major job responsibilities? I try my best to teach students to love (tolerate) the written language and produce grammatically correct writing.
  4. What are some things you like? Obviously, I like to read. I also enjoy making up songs with my daughter—she is much better at it than me.
  5. What is your favorite TV show, movie or book? My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
  6. What do you like most about what you do? I like seeing students make the connections between their thoughts and the materials, and I like seeing students master a skill they believed to be out of their reach.
  7. How long have you been at NGTC? I have been at NGTC since 2014. I started as an adjunct and transitioned to full-time instructor two semesters later.
  8. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you choose? Probably Shakespeare.
  9. What would people never guess you do in your role here? I scour the internet for Schoolhouse Rock videos that make learning grammar fun.
  10. What is one piece of advice you’d give the students at NGTC? Stay the course. While something might seem impossible, if you keep at it, eventually, you will conquer it.
