NGTC Student Awarded Georgia's Phoenix Patriot Foundation's Scholarship

North Georgia Technical College Automotive Technology student Jason Nichols, of Carnesville, was recently awarded the 2018 Phoenix Patriot Foundation’s Veterans Scholarship for the state of Georgia, totaling $1,000. Requirements for the scholarship included being a Veteran and writing an essay about future plans after college.

Northeast Georgia Antique Auto and Truck Club Scholarships Awarded

The North Georgia Technical College Foundation recently received a $1,000 student scholarship donation from the Northeast Georgia Antique Auto and Truck Club. The Club has awarded $500 scholarships to two NGTC automotive students annually for over 16 years. The funds, which are proceeds from the Northeast Georgia Antique Auto Region Car and Truck Show, are made available to the winners to purchase tools and equipment for their chosen profession. This year’s winners are Jeremy Gay from Martin, Ga. and Alex Hamilton from Dahlonega, Ga.

North Georgia Technical College President Dr. Mark Ivester recently presented employee service awards, recognizing those who have given distinguished years of service to NGTC and the Technical College System of Georgia.

North Georgia Technical College recently announced Stacie Bohannon, Medical Assisting Instructor and Health Sciences Department Chair, as the 2018 Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction winner.

NGTC Students Named to 2017 Fall Semester Honor Roll

Clarkesville, GA – Dr. Mark Ivester, President of North Georgia Technical College, has announced the Honor Roll for Fall Semester 2017. The Honor Roll recognizes full-time students with a 3.5 GPA. Full-time students are those taking at least 12 credit hours with no developmental courses. Approximately 167 students were named to the Honor Roll.

NGTC Students Named to 2017 Fall Semester President's List

Clarkesville, GA – Dr. Mark Ivester, President of North Georgia Technical College, has announced the President’s List for Fall Semester 2017. The President’s List recognizes full-time students with a 4.0 GPA. Full-time students are those taking at least 12 credit hours with no developmental courses. Approximately 172 students were named to the President’s List.
