Clarkesville, GA — North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) recently hosted a GED graduation ceremony to honor students who earned a high school equivalency credential at the Blairsville campus.
Christie Campbell, the 2023 NGTC EAGLE (Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education) award recipient, served as the guest speaker for the event. Campbell shared her personal journey through adult education and encouraged graduates to continue believing in their abilities and reaching for their dreams. Her words resonated with both graduates and attendees, offering a powerful reminder of the opportunities that education can provide.
NGTC President John Wilkinson also highlighted the graduates’ dedication, many of whom balanced multiple commitments to complete their studies. “I am very honored to present these diplomas to our newest GED graduates today,” said Wilkinson. “Each graduate and family they represent have made several sacrifices and worked diligently to achieve this great success. We are all very proud of each one of them.”
“Each graduate’s story reflects a spirit of perseverance, making the celebration a proud moment for the North Georgia Technical College community,” said Shelby Ward, NGTC Dean of Adult Education. “Our graduation celebrations are truly a day to remember for all of us.”
