Clarkesville, GA – North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) recently hosted its annual English as a Second Language (ESL) Celebration, bringing together students from Habersham, Rabun, Stephens and White counties for an uplifting day of fellowship, culture and community.
This event celebrated the hard work and achievements of NGTC ESL students from across Northeast Georgia. NGTC Adult Education faculty gathered alongside ESL students and families to enjoy food, camaraderie and storytelling. This highlighted the diversity and shared experiences that make the ESL program so unique and impactful.
“Our students are the heart of this program,” said Shelby Ward, NGTC dean of adult education. “Today was all about celebrating their dedication to learning, their courage to grow, and the rich cultural backgrounds they bring to our classrooms.”
NGTC offers free ESL classes with flexible day and evening schedules to fit the needs of busy adult learners. The program is designed to support students in improving their English language skills for work, school and everyday life – empowering them to pursue greater opportunities.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your reading, writing or verbal skills, or just want to be part of a supportive learning community, the ESL program at NGTC is here to help.
