Clarkesville, GA – North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) and Brenau University recently established a new articulation agreement aimed at facilitating student transfers and expanding educational opportunities in the field of psychology.
Under the agreement, graduates of NGTC’s Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Social Work Assistant program can seamlessly transition and continue their education by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Brenau University. The partnership supports student success by improving access to advanced credentials and reducing unnecessary course duplication.
“We are excited to partner with Brenau University to create seamless pathways for North Georgia Technical College students to continue their education and achieve their goals,” said Dr. Michele Shirley, NGTC Interim President. “This agreement expands opportunities, supports student success, and reflects our shared commitment to accessible, high-quality education for the communities we serve.”
“This agreement reflects our shared commitment to helping students reach their educational and career goals,” said NGTC Vice President of Academic Affairs Stephanie Benson. “By creating a clear transfer pathway, we are reducing barriers and opening more opportunities for students to gain additional knowledge as they prepare for career opportunities in psychology and social services.”
Both institutions are committed to providing quality education and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes student success. This articulation agreement is a significant step in enhancing educational opportunities and supporting the workforce needs of North Georgia.
