What is Articulation?Articulation is a process that allows students to use knowledge from high school coursework to earn college credit at North Georgia Technical College. It is designed to reduce repetition of skills already gained. An exam is given at no charge to the student to ensure information is retained from high school courses.
Why should I consider Articulation?Articulation can save students time and money!
Who is eligible for Articulation?Students who attend or graduated from an accredited Georgia public high school and charter school may be able to articulate credits to North Georgia Technical College. Articulation exams are given at no charge for current high school students or NGTC students who graduated high school within 24 months.
How does it work?To receive articulated credit, students must pass a pre-selected high school course. After the high school course has been completed, a validation test, given by NGTC, must be passed with a grade of 80% or better. Students can take the articulation exam immediately after passing the course or up to 24 months after high school graduation. Credit will be awarded once the student enrolls at NGTC.
