Accounting

Credentials You Can Earn

NGTC’s diploma and degree accounting programs prepare students for success in today’s technology-driven workplace.  Experienced instructors teach accounting principles and production of financial records using a variety of methods, including spreadsheets and database management systems. Graduates are eligible for a variety of careers including bookkeeper, payroll or accounting clerk, tax preparer, or financial clerk.

Accounting classes are offered both days and evenings and are frequently broadcast through the distance learning center to the other campuses, giving students more flexibility in where they attend class. Instructors will also travel between the campuses to ensure students have access for questions and advisement.

Accounting students, along with students in other related business programs such as Business Administrative Technologies and Computer Information Systems, may participate in Phi Beta Lambda (PBL).  This national organization gives students a chance to contribute to their community as well as to compete with their peers across the state.
