Credentials You Can Earn

NGTC business programs teach business software applications and effective interpersonal skills to prepare graduates for employment in today’s office environment. Program options differ in length and focus, including those that award credit for on the job training (Business Management), are industry specific (Medical Front Office Assistant), or that offer multiple specializations (Business Technology). Degrees

Business Management Degree

The Business Management program is designed to prepare students for entry into management and supervisory occupations in a variety of businesses and industries. Learning opportunities will introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement in management. Graduates of the program receive a Business Management degree with a specialization in General Management, Small Business Management, Marketing Management, or Human Resource Management.

 

Business Technology Degree

The Business Technology degree program prepares students for employment in a variety of positions in today’s technology-driven workplaces. The program provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications software. Students are also introduced to accounting fundamentals, electronic communications, internet research, and electronic file management. The program includes instruction in effective communication skills and terminology that encompasses office management and executive assistant qualifications and technology innovations for the office. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to upgrade present knowledge and skills or to retrain in the area of administrative technology. Graduates of the program receive a Business Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree.


Diploma

Business Management Diploma

The Business Management program is designed to prepare students for entry into management positions in a variety of businesses and industries.  Learning opportunities will introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement in management. Graduates of the program receive a Business Management diploma.

 

Business Technology Diploma

The Business Technology diploma program prepares students for employment in a variety of positions in today’s technology-driven workplaces. Graduates of the program receive a Business Technology diploma with a specialization in one of the following: Business Administrative Assistant or Medical Administrative Assistant.
