Degrees

Internet Specialist – Web Application Development Degree

The Computer Information Systems – Internet Specialist Web Application Development degree program provides students with an understanding of the concepts, principles, and techniques required in computer information processing. Graduates are to be competent in the general areas of humanities or fine arts, social or behavioral sciences, and natural sciences or mathematics, as well as in the technical areas of computer terminology and concepts, program design and development, and computer networking. Program graduates are qualified for employment as E-Commerce web programmers. Graduates of the program receive a Internet Specialist Web Application Development Associate of Applied Science Degree.

 

Networking Specialist Degree

The Computer Information Systems – Networking Specialist degree program provides students with an understanding of the concepts, principles, and techniques required in computer information processing. Graduates are to be competent in the general areas of humanities or fine arts, social or behavioral sciences, and natural sciences or mathematics, as well as in the technical areas of computer terminology and concepts, program design and development, and computer networking. The Internet Specialist Web Application Development diploma program provides students with an understanding of the concepts, principles, and techniques required in computer information processing. Graduates are to be competent in the technical areas of computer terminology and concepts, program design and development, and computer networking. Program graduates are qualified for employment as E-Commerce web programmers. Program graduates receive an Internet Specialist Web Application Development Diploma.

 

Networking Specialist Diploma

The Computer Information Systems – Networking Specialist diploma program provides students with an understanding of the concepts, principles, and techniques required in computer information processing. Graduates are to be competent inthe technical areas of computer terminology and concepts, program design and development, and computer networking. Program graduates are qualified for employment as networking specialists. Program graduates receive a Networking Specialist Diploma.

Meet the Faculty

 

 

Paul Long

Paul Long has been with the college since 1998 and has 6 years of occupational experience prior to that.  He holds a BS in Management from Rutgers University and a M.Ed. in Business Education from the University of Georgia. He also holds certifications in Comp TIA A+ and Network, CIW-Foundations.  Contact: plong@northgatech.edu


Bob Sather

Bob Sather has had over 40 years of IT experience working for Fortune 500 companies in positions ranging from computer/network technician to CIO. Since 2001, he has taught Computer Science and Business for several local colleges and universities. He holds undergraduate and master's degrees from Shorter University and is currently finishing his doctorate at Argosy University.
