Environmental Technology

Credentials You Can Earn

The Environmental Technology program offers a solid foundation for careers in managing wildlife and fish populations as well as aquaculture, dendrology, and environmental ethics.  Students in the program get hands-on experience that augments classroom instruction.  Throughout the course of study, there are opportunities to work on collaborative projects with local and state environmental groups.

Degree

The Environmental Technology associate degree offers specialized training to those who are interested in employment in an environmental science related field. Course work includes general education, computer applications, biology, chemistry, industrial safety, and an extensive array of detailed environmentally specific classes. The goal of this program is to produce graduates who have the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to addressing issues associated with human interactions with the environment. The courses in the Wildlife and Fisheries Management specialization meet the requirements that the Georgia Department of Natural Resources has established for Wildlife and Fisheries Technicians.
