Clarkesville, GA — North Georgia Technical College recently appointed Kent Woerner of Tiger, Ga., to the college’s board of directors.
Woerner serves as a member of the Rabun County Board of Commissioners as well as the Rabun County Representative for Avita Community Partners. He is also a teacher for Mountain Education Charter High School in Rabun County and serves on the executive board of the Resource, Conservation and Development Council and is the vice chair of the Rabun County Health Department Board.
Woerner earned an educational specialist’s degree and a master’s degree in supervision and administration from the State University of West Georgia, a master’s degree in social studies from the State University of West Georgia and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Furman University.
“Our college is fortunate to have Kent Woerner as a member of our board of directors,” said NGTC President John Wilkinson. “He brings a wealth of experience from his years of service as an administrator, educator and county commissioner which will be very valuable to our college and our students.”
Woerner’s term is a three-year appointment and will represent Rabun County as an official board member.
