Scholarships

Scholarships are administered through a partnership between North Georgia Technical College and the North Georgia Technical College Foundation. Scholarship applications are available online, in the Foundation Office, and in the Financial Aid Office. All Foundation scholarships are based on financial need.

Grants

Grants are the most attractive forms of financial aid because money given in the form of a grant does not have to be paid back after graduation.

Loans

Loans should be used as a last resort to pay for educational expenses. Although it is not NGTC’s policy to encourage students to incur additional debt for their college education unless all other sources of aid have been exhausted, we have included a section containing additional information should you need it.

VA Benefits

Veterans Benefits will be available both to veterans and spouses as well as children of disabled or deceased veterans. More information is available from the area Veterans Administration Offices.

WSGM

WorkSource Georgia Mountains (WSGM) assists with educational expenses (tuition, fees, books, required supplies, gas, and childcare) for up to two years.

Work Study

A good option for funding is work study. This federal program provides you with part-time employment on campus to give you work experience while also helping you meet your financial needs. It’s a great way to earn money for college while getting involved in your campus community.
