North Georgia Technical College offers residential living on the Clarkesville campus to provide an environment in which the learning experience may be enhanced and developed in accordance with the traditional values and objectives of the college. It allows students to become independent while maintaining community responsibility and self-identity. It is one of the most rewarding and important facets of the postsecondary educational experience.

Students get the total college experience by living in our co-ed dorm on the Clarkesville campus. Room and board includes meals at the campus dining hall, access to the dorm’s laundry facility, Wi-Fi access, and television rooms.

Resident students will be charged $2,400 per term, for room and board for a double occupancy room. Private rooms, if available, are assigned based on availability and seniority; and students will be charged $2,900 per term for private room and board. (Summer term and Minimester term rates vary.)

Residence hall meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Monday through Thursday during the semester (excluding holidays). The Ramsey Hunter Dining Hall does have prepackaged meals to purchase for Friday through Sunday at an additional cost.

A $150 deposit is due when the Residence Hall Application is submitted. If an applicant for housing does not occupy a room, the deposit is non-refundable. If a student occupies a room, a portion of the deposit ($50) is retained as an administrative processing fee. The remainder of the deposit ($100) is refundable if the student follows official check-out procedures, leaves campus housing with no balance due, and leaves the room in good condition and free of any personal belongings.

Residence Hall Operations

North Georgia Technical College maintains campus housing for men and women on the Clarkesville campus. The residence hall, Bryant Hall, is a co-ed facility.

Selected students serve as Resident Assistants (RA’s) to assist students. The primary responsibilities of the Resident Assistants are to assist residents and act as liaisons to the residents and the Campus Life Director. Resident Assistants also ensure that the rules and regulations of NGTC are followed by the residents and report any violations to the Dean of Student Affairs. They check residents in and out of the residence hall and report any residence hall maintenance needs to the Office of Student Affairs.
