About the Program

Are you looking for a career in Business Management? The Business Management Associate degree program is designed to prepare students for entry into management and supervisory occupations in a variety of businesses and industries.
Learning opportunities will introduce, develop and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention and advancement in management. Flexible scheduling is possible with most programs offering a variety of day, evening, and on-line courses.

Business Management offers programs to prepare students for success in today’s challenging career fields and work environment. Through qualified instruction in up-to-date facilities, we offer degree, diploma, and certificate program options. Opportunities for continual educational growth may be pursued at the university level.  

Students have the opportunity to specialize in: 

  • Small Business Management: Small Business Management will help you develop a working knowledge in areas including essentials for starting, managing and growing a small business.  
  • Human Resource Management:   Human resources managers plan, direct, and coordinate the administrative functions of an organization. They oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff; consult with top executives on strategic planning; and serve as a link between an organization’s management and its employees. 
  • Marketing Management:  The marketing manager job description varies by company and industry, however, most need to oversee the multiple communication channels they use to promote the business. A marketing manager is someone who manages the marketing of a business or product. They can be responsible for several services or products, or be in charge of a single product. A marketing manager needs to have an outgoing, gregarious, and spontaneous nature.
  • General Business Management:  is a specialization that you can choose to select courses specific to your goals and objectives within the management program. 

Program graduates who are experienced workers are prepared to perform management and supervisory functions such as planning and decision making, employee training, labor relations, employee evaluation, employee counseling and disciplinary action.

The Business Management program is designed to prepare students for entry into management and supervisory occupations in a variety of businesses and industries. Learning opportunities will introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement in management. Graduates of the program receive a Business Management degree with a specialization in General Management, Small Business Management, Marketing Management, or Human Resource Management.

The Business Management program is designed to prepare students for entry into management positions in a variety of businesses and industries.  Learning opportunities will introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement in management. Graduates of the program receive a Business Management diploma.
