The Continuing Education program at North Georgia Technical College offers a broad range of affordable non-degree programs for everyone in the community with a desire to learn and have fun. We are committed to a program of public service, outreach and continuing education by making available resources for our community, workforce and for those that desire lifelong learning and development. We also offer online courses that are convenient and flexible for you to learn in the comfort of your own home. You’ll find our courses conveniently offered on both weekdays and weekends, daytime and evenings, and one-time workshops or multiple-sessions. We’re here for you!

Discovery EdVenture Tour to Washington, DC

7 Days, 6 Nights! Includes transportation on a top-quality motor coach that is restroom and video equipped. 6 nights lodging including 4 consecutive nights in the Washington DC area. 10 Meals including: 6 Breakfasts and 4 Dinners. Driver's Education

We offer classes at all three of our campuses in Blairsville, Clarkesville and Currahee. Our upcoming classes are listed below. Course fee is $350* and includes the 30 hours of classroom instruction as well as 6 hours of drive time with an instructor. 

Bee Keeping

Bee Keeping-Advanced Level classes are for students who have previously completed a beginner beekeeping class or prove to have basic beekeeping knowledge. Topics covered will include; tools and equipment needed for hobby or professional beekeeping, preparing for honey flow, maximization of honey production and equipment needed, robbing the bees, honey extraction, storage and marketing of honey, preparing bee’s for winter survival and more. Part of the classes will be held at the NGTC Clarkesville Campus and some at the Instructor’s Farm in Demorest.

Certified Pool Operator

16 hours of classroom training with an end of course test on topics such as codes and calculations, water testing, maintenance and operational problems. Students passing the final exam will be certified for 5 years.

HESI Testing

The HESI (Health Education Systems, Inc.) Exam is a standardized test for nursing students. It is a comprehensive nurse exam that tests the student's overall knowledge in key areas of the nursing curriculum. Students interested in being considered for entrance to the Associate of Science Degree in Nursing program at North Georgia Technical College are required to complete the HESI Assessment Exam (A2). The HESI exam evaluates performance in critical thinking, math, reading comprehension, anatomy and physiology, learning styles, personality profile, grammar and vocabulary.
