Career Services

NGTC graduates are in high demand and the Career Services Center helps graduates make educated decisions regarding employment.  The Career Services Center is available to assist current and prospective NGTC students in career exploration and assessment in order to make a valid and informed career choice.

Career Services staff is available to assist those current students who are preparing to graduate with their job search, resume preparation, interview training, and more.  Students will have access to information about their potential career choices, such as wages, benefits, stability, and opportunities for advancement. Career Services staff is also available to assist prospective students with one-on-one career planning.  The Center can also provide prospective students with details about admission, financial aid, placement testing, student success services, and other NGTC resources.

Virtual Job Shadow

NGTC’s Career Services Center features Virtual Job Shadow.  Virtual Job Shadow is an online career planning and exploration resource that provides all the tools for charting your career path with fun and engaging software including interactive video tutorials of careers.  Contact a member of the Career Services team for more information about Virtual Job Shadow. If you are not currently a North Georgia Technical College student, please contact a member of Career Services to establish an account.

USG eCampus /eCore

If you are a USG eCampus/eCore, NGTC offers proctoring services for exams. If you are a participating student, you can take your exams on the Clarkesville campus. Although we recommend testers to choose their appointment for testing based on the information provided in the eCampus/eCore scheduling system, we do strive to work with students to make times available. There is a $25 proctoring fee per test. No proctoring is offered on Fridays or the weekends, as that is outside of our normal operating hours. 

eCore is a collaborative program of the University System of Georgia (USG) that offers students the opportunity to complete undergraduate requirements in Core Areas A-E completely online via public colleges and universities within the University System. General Proctoring Services

Need an authorized proctor for an exam for your online university/college, real estate license, or another testing requirement? Please consider NGTC’s proctoring services. Proctoring services are subject to a $15 fee per test and based on availability. Pearson VUE Testing System

Pearson VUE provides a full suite of services from test development to data management and delivers exams through the world’s most comprehensive and secure network of test centers in 165 countries.

Commercial and Structural Pest Management Testing System

NGTC offers the Georgia Department of Agriculture’s Commerical and Structural Pest Management Testing. ACCUPLACER Placement Test

The Career Services testing lab hosts NGTC’s ACCUPLACER placement testing.  ACCUPLACER is an untimed, computerized test that helps our college evaluate your skills and place you into appropriate courses.  If it applies to the student, the ACCUPLACER test is a part of NGTC’s admission process.
