Job Description: 

Mid-level maintenance technician who safely plans and performs all operations necessary to modify, repair and maintain complicated machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely and independently adjusts, repairs and maintains mechanical systems; completes some basic electrical system repairs.
  • Utilizing support, maintains conveyors, paint systems and chemical processes.
  • Maintains, performs and reports on preventative maintenance on all plant support equipment.
  • Utilizes drawings, schematics and hydraulic diagrams to evaluate, make recommendations and resolve problems.
  • Interprets and applies a variety of technical instructions.
  • Communicate technical issues to others and evaluate responses in a group setting.
  • Conducts equipment installation (air, gas, rigging) under the support and direction of experienced technicians.
  • Maintains 5S compliant work area.
  • Must certify and maintain certifications to use powered industrial vehicles and overhead cranes.
  • Understands and complies with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.

Desired/Required Skills: 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Successful completion of the Kubota apprenticeship program or HS Diploma/ GED plus 2-5 years of maintenance manufacturing experience.
  • English language competency required.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Must certify and maintain valid certification on all powered industrial vehicles and overhead crane operations for the facility. Certifications must be achieved within 30 days of position start.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 2 Year degree in Maintenance Technology preferred.
  • 2-5 years of demonstrated maintenance experience in a similar environment preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems including relays, motors and switches.
  • Previous powered industrial truck and overhead crane experience
