Job Description: 

Salford Group is a global manufacturer of farm tillage, application, and seeding equipment. We are experiencing tremendous growth and have an immediate opening for a full-time Welder at our Cornelia, Georgia location. A weld test is completed on site to determine starting wage.

Key Accountabilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and produce parts to print
  • Examine and inspect welds to specifications and an aptitude to producing a quality product
  • Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding
  • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together
  • Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment
  • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling
  • Inspects work to verify dimensions and completes any required paperwork
  • Spot welds a variety of parts on light and heavy gauge metal (variety of material i.e. mild steel, stainless, aluminum, etc.)
  • Handles and positions work with or without use of fixtures
  • Requires the ability to plan, layout and perform diversified work
  • Sets machine, selects electrodes, and regulates current setting, time, and pressure
  • Other duties as needed

Desired/Required Skills: 

  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints
  • Must know how to read and use a measuring tape
  • Ability to lift up to 50Ibs
  • Ability to assemble parts by bolting and riveting

Education/Experience: 

  • Minimum 1-2 years previous welding experience in a manufacturing setting
  • MIG weld is preferred
  • Successful candidate must pass internal weld test

Salary: {Salary:18} / Per Hour
