Clarkesville, GA – Caitlin Jarrell of Demorest became the first North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) dual enrollment student to complete the Hair Designer program offered at Habersham Central High School (HCHS).
Caitlin entered the program as a freshman at HCHS and earned the Hair Designer Certificate as a senior in high school. Since graduating, Caitlin has been working as a shampoo technician and assistant at Nash and Co. Salon in Clarkesville. She is also enrolled at NGTC full time pursuing a degree in Business Management. Caitlin recently passed the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology practical and written exams and is now a licensed cosmetologist.
“It is so rewarding to witness the continued growth of our dual enrollment Cosmetology program,” said NGTC/HCHS Cosmetology Instructor Melanie Maxwell. “While we have had several of our dual enrollment students continue the Cosmetology program at the NGTC campus, Caitlin is the first student to complete the program here at HCHS. I am so proud of her, and I know she will have continued success in her future endeavors.”
