Clarkesville, GA – North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) Foundation recently received a $5,000 donation from Habersham Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) for the electrical lineworker program. 

HEMC’s donation will benefit NGTC students by providing scholarships to prospective or current students attending the Blairsville or Clarkesville campus electrical lineworker program. Students may apply for the scholarships on the NGTC Foundation Scholarships page at northgatech.edu/foundation/foundation-scholarships. The application deadline for summer semester scholarships is Apr. 27, 2023.  

“North Georgia Technical College is pleased to have an outstanding relationship with Habersham EMC,” said NGTC President John Wilkinson. “We greatly appreciate the support they provide our electrical line students and faculty, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them for years to come.”  

“We are so grateful to Habersham EMC for their continued support of our electrical lineworker students and faculty,” said Mindy Glander, NGTC Vice President of Academic Affairs. “Our faculty recognize the value that corporate partnerships provide to their students both in and out of the classroom, and we look forward to continuing to build those relationships in the future.”  

“The NGTC Foundation is very appreciative to Habersham EMC for their generous donation in support of our electrical lineworker students,” said Amy Hulsey, NGTC Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Marketing and Executive Director of the NGTC Foundation. “Each donation we receive makes a significant impact in the lives of our students and makes an education possible for so many.”
