Job Description: 

What Is Habersham Metal:
A Cornelia based, locally owned business that predominately makes security doors and frames. Customers include Lee Arrendale State Prison in Alto, Washington Monument, NATO Headquarters, USA Embassies, and numerous worldwide military bases.

Position Overview:
Painting security frames and security doors

Benefits:
• The plant normally works on a 4 day roster 10 hours per day, working Monday to Thursday
• Health insurance, vacation, and 401k for future savings

Job Responsibilities:
• Painting metal products
• Installing glass stop
• Share ideas of ways to improve processes so we can be a better company
• Complies with established safety practices and procedures, attends periodic meetings
• The above duties are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required/assigned.

Desired/Required Skills: 

• Some amount of technical training beneficial.
• Able to read and interpret company work instructions, schedules, prints, and specifications.
• Able to use the computer to record or retrieve data.
• Willingness to cross-train as requested.
• Interpersonal skills as required in communicating with other members of the organization. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, co-workers, supervisors, customers, visitors, and suppliers.
• Some experience with the following:
Tapping and drilling
Paint application
Grinding and sanding
Fastener installation
Hammering
Finishing (with bondo or other similar application)
Caulking and sealing
Sawing and cutting

Physical Demands:
• Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
