Job Description: 

The Bank Teller will complete deposits, withdrawals, and other financial interactions while providing excellent customer service to all customers. The expectation is to establish lifelong relationships with our customers based on knowledge and trust.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Handles transactions for customers, including but not limited to check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and cashier’s checks.
  • Evaluates checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents.
  • Identify customer needs and directs to customer service representatives as needed.
  • Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of the day.
  • Assists in working night depository bags and envelopes.
  • Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
  • Assist Head Teller in preparing monies for deposit or shipment to branch banks or the Federal Reserve Bank.
  • Assist Head Teller in ordering cash supply to meet daily needs when needed.
  • Assist with answering incoming calls and connecting customer to appropriate person
  • Assist with letting customers into their safe deposit box
  • Assist with balancing the cash vault and ATM
  • Cross train as a Customer Service Representative

Education/Experience: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Cash-handling experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
