Dewtex Inc., part of the James Dewhurst group and now part of SIOEN Industries, has grown into one of the largest global manufacturers of flexible reinforcement textiles. Our proprietary laid scrim processes, weaving technologies and lamination capabilities enable us to offer high-performance industrial laid and woven textiles.

At Dewtex Inc. we manufacture a wide range of laid scrims, achieved through a manufacturing process, which was developed in house. We produce excellent quality products at high speeds and widths up to 204 inches.

Our plant in Eastanollee GA will celebrate our 20-year anniversary next year supplying textiles into various markets in the USA and around the world. The markets we serve are Building/Construction, Heath & Hygiene, Industrial Products, Geotextile and Packaging. Dewtex is a team of talented individuals that pull together to make truly unique products.

Duties & responsibilities: (Note: In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required)
To operate Dewtex machinery while maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
Produce fabric to customer specification ensuring that the final goods are fit for purpose.
Support 5s initiatives.
Support management initiatives such as setting up and ensuring waste reduction targets are met.
Effective use of systems – Barco and the completion of necessary paperwork.
Identifying rejection yarn.
Waste management – segregating waste appropriately.
Maintain a safe and healthy working environment and ensure that all equipment is used in accordance with safety regulations and company policy.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure that all environmental and health and safety regulations are complied with.

Desired/Required Skills: 

• Must be able to work in noisy environments.
• Moderate lifting is required.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access all parts of the machine.
• Must be able to work in heat.
• Prolonged periods of standing are required.
• Must be able to work a shift pattern of 4 On/4 Off (12 hour shift)
