Job Description: 

The Dealer Relationship Manager plays an important role to ensure Clipper Wholesale dealers are supported so they can be a successful operator. The Dealer Relationship Manager will has play a big role to support the dealer’s execution of the fuel brands’ marketing, operations, and technology programs.

Essential Functions

Fuel Brand Compliance
• Understand all fuel brand marketing, operations, and technology programs.
• Routinely meets with the Director of Communications and Brand Relations to review sites’ branded shop scores.
• Creates tailored action plans to address any non-compliance issues.
• Communicates evaluations and improvement action plans with dealers and internal team members.
• Works with third party contractors to provide service to correct site level compliance issues.
• Coaches and counsels dealers on compliance standards and required monthly branded marketing materials.

Key Account Management
• Manage 60-70 existing dealer accounts.
• Serve as a key contact to the dealer.
• Serve as a business consultant to the dealer.
• Work with each dealer on supporting the use of the ClipperLink customer interface solution.
• Manage and review Mystery shop performance with dealers.
• Monitor contract performance and compliance.
• Manage any collections issues.
• Utilizes Clipper’s Customer Stratification solution to move customers to “Core” customer status.
• Collaborate with Business Development Managers on potential growth and doing site visits.
• Nurture relationships to renew existing contracts.

Relationship Building
• Assists Director of Communications and Brand Relations in various research, audits and special projects as needed.
• Creates and maintains clear communication channels with Wholesale and Retail teams.
• Participates in Wholesale team meetings to provide pertinent information as needed.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with team members to accomplish common goals.
• Attends fuel brand meetings to remain educated on brand programs and standards.
• Attends Clipper sponsored dealer brand meetings throughout the year.
• Assists with implementation of dealer grand openings and customer appreciation days.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle,
feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member is frequently required
to stand, talk and hear.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. You will be expected to work Monday through Friday, 8-5 PM and a minimum 45 hours
per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand. You will be expected to be
available at all hours to field calls and address urgent employee issues.

Working Conditions
• Primarily (80%) in the field with 1 day/week (on average) to report to meetings in Clipper Corporate office
• Some overnights may be required
• Company vehicle
• Laptop, tablet, cell phone

Other Requirements
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to stores up to 4 days per week

Education/Experience: 

• High school degree or equivalent
• 1-year experience in retail or petroleum industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven track record of proficiently managing multiple customer accounts and/or projects.
