Job Title: Corrective Maintenance Technician

Job Description: 

Troubleshoots, repairs, installs and performs preventive maintenance on utilities, electrical and mechanical equipment, and other building components throughout the facility. Performs various assorted functions generally associated with maintenance operations.

May be required to mow, rake, trim shrubbery, or other groundskeeping functions.

Responds to and assists in security events as per policy.

Frequent contact with visitors, patients and other employees, which require average tact and poise. Job requires the ability to work without direct supervision and employee must have the ability to initiate appropriate repair functions. Accuracy in actual work performed and documentation of maintenance functions is necessary along with considerable initiative and judgment.

Desired/Required Skills: 

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to be insured by the facility's insurance carrier

Education/Experience: 

High school diploma or equivalent

At least four years experience preferred in one or more of the following trades: heating, air conditioning, electrical installation and maintenance, hospital maintenance, electronics, bio-medical repair, refrigeration, plumbing and heating, or commercial construction.

Preventive maintenance experience useful and preferable. Job requires good verbal skills and basic familiarity with Microsoft computer software.
